SMC #42 "ANY 5 FOR A POUND"

3dtotal.com hosts speed modeling competitions weekly and this being their most recent, I decided to jump in and see what happens. Each contestant is given 90 minutes to construct the model.

Christmas Project

Well, with our holiday break over at Easley-Dunn Games I decided to change it up a bit and work on a little side portfolio project. The concept is accredited to Izmojuki. So far I have about 4 hours into it and the high resolution model is about completed. There are still a series of normal map details to be added, however I will be using NDO for the remaining final touches. The render quality is a little off, I'm still looking into ways to make my renders "pop" and hope to find a solution soon.

Been a while.

Well world, it's been awhile since I posted any updates. However, I have been keeping extremely busy with my current internship with Easley-Dunn Games, where I am currently acting as an Environment Artist.

Converting to bigger and better things

Another huge update is my extreme interest in environment and prop art. Up until this point I have had the mind set of being a Character Artist, but that passion has shifted slightly. This is not to say that I do not enjoy characters, I will continue to create characters on the side. With my passion shift I am currently working on a 1970's abandoned gas station that is impromptu constructed to fend off against intruders. I plan to work on this project for a couple of months while continuing my internship with Easley-Dunn Games.

That concludes my rant until next time, later world!
